Titanium dioxide import and export data from January to February 2024

In January 2024, China’s import volume of titanium dioxide was 6613.45 tons, an increase of 81.33% over the same period last year, and a decrease of 40.73% month-on-month.

In February, China imported 9346.92 tons of titanium dioxide, an increase of 93.57% over the same period last year, an increase of 41.33% month on month

From January to February 2024, China imported about 16,600 tons of titanium dioxide, an increase of 88.31% over last year, and the import volume increased by about 7,484.57 tons.

In January 2024, China exported 159,700 tons of titanium dioxide, an increase of 11.47%, an increase of 21.38% over the same period last year.

In February, China exported 133,700 tons of titanium dioxide, down 16.33% from the previous month and down 13.33% from the same period last year.

In January to February 2024, China exported about 293,400 tons of titanium dioxide, an increase of 2.65% over the same period last year, and the export volume increased by about 7578.29 tons.

In 2023, the annual import of titanium white 84,500 tons, a decrease of 31.40%, a decrease of about 38,700 tons, the annual average import price of 3.38 US dollars/kg, a decrease of 6.37%.

In 2023, the total export of titanium dioxide is about 1.6418 million tons, an increase of 16.75%, an increase of about 235,600 tons, and the export volume of titanium white has reached a new high. The top three countries for export are India, Brazil and Turkey. From January to December 2023, the average export price was 2,191.36 US dollars/ton, down 19.65% year-on-year.

According to the preliminary statistics of China Coating Industry Association, in 2023, the total output of China’s coating industry was 35.772 million tons, an increase of 4.5% over the same period last year.

It imported 153,000 tons, 20.4% lower than the same period last year, and exported 262,000 tons, 19.6% higher than the same period last year. The apparent consumption was 35.663 million tons, an increase of 4.2% compared with the same period last year.
